MAR SPLIT models include evaporator, heat exchanger, solenoid valve, KVP pressure control valve, sight glass and electrical control board.
These components ensure the quality of the equipment, simplify the installation and guarantee perfect ice from each machine.
The Scotsman Scale ice machine range includes five split models, suitable for connection to central cooling plant or remote condensing unit, with daily production from 510 to 2465 Kg (fresh water supply).
On-Board installationsTwo models available with the option of fresh or sea water ice with capacities of up to 1000Kgs & 2200Kgs respectively.

Simple control systems have also been adopted to reduce to a minimum the risk of operational errors that may result in costly downtime and parts replacement.

EVE - Compact Unit - Land Based or On-Board
Freedom of choiceScotsman turn-key systems are designed by engineers with specific knowledge of manufacturing, installation and potential operational issues gained through hands-on supervision during plant installation and start-up. This practical knowledge and advice is a freely available to Scotsman customers who are supported by a dedicated team of technical experts.
Absolute priority is assigned to each customer and every installation is treated as a unique one, where standard components are merely the foundation for custom-made solutions that provide the most adequate answer to ever-changing demands.
The rotating shaft and revolving reamer assembly (ice scraper), subjected to constant mechanical load, are built in solid AISI304 stainless steel.
The gear-motor, which determines the rotation of the shaft, is factory pre-set to obtain the optimal thickness and quantity of scale ice; it is maintenance-free with a grease-based, life-long lubrication system.
A water sump collects incoming water and stores it prior to distribution; a water float regulates the amount of water allowed into the sump; a stainless steel pump is then used to circulate the water, a filter mounted on the outlet tube reduces the impurities present in the water. Salt dosing is a standard feature and its use is recommended in areas where water is particularly hard to maintain a consistent quality of ice.
A drip-pan collects excess water flowing from the evaporator drum during the freezing cycle, avoiding the possibility of water contaminating ice stored in the ice bin and causing coagulation.
Electrical control panelFitted as standard on all Compact versions, to control the electrical supply to the condensing unit whilst protecting all mechanical and electrical components.
The control on the pump-down system allows the equipment operation to be optimised and also provides electronic protection for the gear-motor by reducing mechanical overloads.
A manual re-start avoids critical working inconvenience.
A voltmeter and ammeter are fitted as standard to provide monitoring of equipment working conditions.
Compressor - Lubrication SystemProvides effective lubrication for long-term durability. Oil circulation is critical in both compact and split version units.
All EVE compact models are equipped with, as a standard feature, an oil separator and oil differential pressure switch, optimising and protecting the compressor operations. On EVE 1000, 1300, 1500 and 2400 models, where a high efficiency screw compressor is used instead of semi-hermetic, oil circulation is monitored by a microprocessor activating sub-cooling/heat exchange systems to maintain a constant oil temperature.

EVE Split Unit - Land Based or On-Board
A precision mechanismScotsman reliability and durability are guaranteed by the use of top quality materials, such as AISI304 grade stainless steel, heat exchanger and liquid sub-cooling system; base and cover in Peralluman casting, pre-installed expansion valve or regulating valve (FTL).
Easy-access inspection allows the verification of correct reamer functions and water distribution.
Models supplied with level control are built as standard with internal liquid separator.
For saltwater use, AISI316 grade stainless steel is used and the evaporator inner surface is grooved for improved heat exchange.
Water flows evenly over the evaporator surface from the water channel located on the upper edge.
Models designed for on-board installations feature an anti-splash, round-section tube and a water level sensor optimises the water flow.
Separate control panel available with control and protection devices for evaporator components.
